The Sichuan-Tibet Highway, a world-famous natural barrier road stretching from east to west, is also an ideal route for travelling. Following the highway,we start in Chengdu via Luding county on the eastern margin of the Qinghai-Tibet plateau to Kangding, Dawu, Luhuo, Ganze, Dege, Jomda, Qamdo in the Hengduan mountain area. Head south to Bamda and then fly back to Chengdu.This segment of the highway, with a length of more than 1600 km, will pass through more than ten famous giant mountains such as Erlang, Zheduo, Chola and Luoguoliangzi 4500 meters above sea level, and cross several boundless stretch of grasslands such as Xinduqiao, Lhakang, Manigango and Bamda as well as a number of rushing rivers including Jinsha, Lancang and Nujiang.
